Privacy
We collect your email address and a handle of your choosing, along with payment records. Your email address is never published or displayed in any way, and no amount is disclosed to anyone. We show only dates and handles.
1.What Is Published
Only your handle and the date you held the title. Nothing else about you is ever shown on this site, in a certificate, in the register, or in any notification.
Your email address is never published, in any circumstance. It is how bids are linked together and how you are told what happened; it is not shown to other bidders, to holders, or to anyone reading the register. It can be used for future proof of holding the title, but will never be displayed publicly.
No amount is ever disclosed, to anyone. Not to other bidders, not to the person who held the title, and not to you. That is a rule of the site rather than a privacy measure, but it has the same effect: what you paid is not information anyone can obtain here.
2.What Is Collected
Your email address, so that bids from the same person add together through the day and so that you can be told when you are outbid or when you have won, and to prove ownership of a certificate.
Your handle, which you choose, and which is public by design.
A record of individual payments: the amount, the day it counts towards, whether it succeeded, when it happened, and an identifier issued by our payment processor. Card numbers are never seen by this site and never reach our servers.
The fact that you accepted the terms, and which version, recorded at the moment of the bid. This exists so that any dispute can be answered with what you actually agreed to rather than a reconstruction of it.
3.Who Else Sees It
Two services, each receiving only what it needs to do its job, and neither receiving anything we could withhold and still function.
Stripe processes payments and receives your email address and the amount. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and never pass through this site. Their privacy policy sets out what they do with it.
Resend sends the notification emails and receives your address and the message. The messages themselves never contain an amount. Their privacy policy sets out what they do with it.
Nothing is sold, rented, or shared for advertising. There is no advertising on this site, no third-party tracking, and no data broker relationship of any kind.
4.Analytics
Visitor numbers are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not identify individuals or follow them between sites. It reports how many people arrived and which pages they read, and nothing that could be traced to a person.
5.How Long It Is Kept
Register entries are permanent. A day that has been won records the date and the handle for good — that permanence is what the register is for, and it is what a certificate attests to. The register itself shows only the date and the handle.
Payment records are kept as long as required by law, for tax, accounting, and auditing purposes. They are not used for anything else.
Your email address is kept while it is needed to link bids and to notify you. If you ask for it to be removed, see below.
6.Your Rights
Lawful requests about personal data are complied with. They should be made in writing to contact@richest.today.
7.Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own, and none for tracking or advertising.
Stripe sets cookies on the payment step, which it uses to detect fraud and to keep a payment attempt working across a bank authentication. Those are necessary to take a payment, and are not used to follow you.
The bid form remembers your email address and handle in your own browser so that you are not made to retype them. That never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
8.Contact
contact@richest.today for anything on this page.
audit@richest.today for the independent audit right described in the terms, which is a separate process with its own conditions.
